Meagan and I walked up a creek yesterday, and found delicious wine berries. We filled a bag with them, then we found black berries. Yum! As we picked berries, it began to rain, and within moments we were in the middle of a tropical storm. It was so enjoyable standing in flowing water, and having rain drench us completely. We laughed and ran home.
When I first moved to western North Carolina four years ago, I had no idea that I would grow to love the humid summer weather. It fills my pores and my body feels nourished, as though I am eating the sun and moisture. I am thriving and loving every moment of it.
