One of my favorite experiences in my day is the love and enthusiasm I receive from my animals. As soon as the door to our bedroom is opened, Meagan and I are greeted by excited faces. It's as though we are seeing each other after a long time apart. Kisses from the dogs, then rolling on the bed, a flurry of white and black hair fills the air. They play and growl at each other, their lips curled into joyous smiles. Seraphina and Merlin, our cats, crawl over us and through the excited dogs meowing and purring. Their love is pure and simple. They love because that is what they do, no thoughts about how it should look like or why they do it. They are good teachers for me. Be in my heart, stay out of my head, let go of who I thought I was and be who I truly am.
I challenge you to think of something you experience daily that you may take for granted, but if it were to disappear you would miss dearly. Feel free to share it here. I look forward to seeing your posts.
Oh and speaking of things that inspire me. A crew from Earthaven is going to the Beats Antique show at Orange Peel in Asheville. They are deliciously flowing, gypsy infused electronica.
